Fuselage – Center Section – More Drilling

Continued with the match drilling the thick aluminium center section. God bless air-drills! They make this job much easier and faster. I cant imagine how some people do it with just battery operated drills.

Anyway, drilling, countersinking and dimpling is done. Small parts have been found and prepared.

This kit has a lot of small parts that look alike.

At this stage I needed to attach the skin flange F-1204P. It looks exactly like F-1203B. Surely, I grabbed the wrong one, deburred it and spend half an hour trying to understand why the holes don’t line up. I even took a few pictures to send a question to VANs.
Always check labels!

Anyway it was nice 3 hours session.
